while in Nicaragua

We have been in Nicaragua for about two weeks now, and we have already become very attached with the children at the orphanage. Our days have been busy playing with the 60 children who reside there, as well as assisting with the English Language program, and working with all of the kids on various art therapy projects. Things have been going great, and we have been accomplishing more than we had even hoped. Some of the youth at the orphanage are very eager to learn English. We just found out that the computers ordered for the orphanage will be arriving while we are here. So, we are going to be able to install them this week. We spent the day on a very adventurous trip to Managua to get tables, surge protectors, and batteries for the computers so they would be properly set up. We cant wait to see the kids excitement when they are able to work on computers for the first time!!
We are very pleased with all the projects we have been able to accomplish while here, and will try to post more photos and info when we have access to the internet again. The chances we have to get online are few and far between.

The Beauty of Recycling Handbags

taking old fabrics and patterns and giving them new life by turning them into something different. Each bag is hand made and one-of-a kind.

By purchasing a “Beauty of Recycling” handbag, you can experience guilt-free shopping by knowing you are supporting an artist and the re-usage of beautiful vintage fabrics that might otherwise be disregarded. In return, you will have an original lovely hand-made bag that no one else will have.

Because each bag is one of a kind, no bag can be ordered twice. Please allow time for me to create each bag with care.

If at anytime any part of your bag needs to be re-stiched or repaired, please contact Lacy at thebeautyofrecycling@gmail.com
Because the fabrics used are older and more fragile than most, to insure a longer life for the bag, treat it with care and avoid overloading the bag with weight.

bags are made with love by Lacy Voight.
